The discovery of a lottery ticket bearing the winning numbers for the current multi-million-euro jackpot plunges private investigator Wilsberg and his buddy Ekki into a new, deadly case. The rightful owner of the ticket—which Wilsberg found inside one of his books—is brewery boss Lars Roxel. His joy over the massive win is short-lived, however; he is soon found bludgeoned to death beside a brewing vat.
